Satori Martial Arts and Healing Center of Whitehouse and Satori International both have a long history of
involvement in instruction in the martial arts. Satori Martial Arts of Whitehouse, under the direction of
Renshi John Penn, has been in existence as a program for the Fort Meigs YMCA in Perrysburg, OH for over 10 years.
During this time, Mr. Penn has diligently developed his skills in teaching and education while also developing himself
in the arts he so loves with the culmination being the opening of this facility located in Whitehouse, Ohio. Satori
International and Satori Martial Arts have been serving the North Fulton area in Roswell, Georgia since 1989. The
center has evolved under the direction of Renshi Pete Pukish, Founder and Chief Instructor, and now offers several
styles of martial arts, healing arts and yoga. This organization serves as a dynamic template for Satori of Whitehouse
to grow within. Satori refers to self-discovery or enlightenment, reflecting the ongoing commitment to our students in
their Quest for Excellence.
Satori Martial Arts and Healing Center of Whitehouse teaches the authentic style of Shuri Ryu Karate Do whose
lineage can be traced back to 1135 A.D. and the authentic style of Shinto Yoshin Kai Jiu Jitsu as well. Both of
these arts are taught on an international level and only through certified instructors with at least 15 years
experience. All belt rank certification and promotions are done through internationally recognized martial arts
organizations whose lineage can be traced back to the founders of Okinawan Karate Do and Japanese Jiu Jitsu.
